UPDATE: the balloon launch was a huge success. @brianstoiber landed at Clow International Airport in Naperville. @Drew3927 landed about 1 mile southeast of the airport. The mass launch was beautiful from the sky. Pictures will be posted to out Flickr account most likely tomorrow or Tuesday.
Do you think the balloons will be able to launch tonight?
I am unable to make that call. It is too early in the day to determine what the wind speed and direction will be like.
Is there any balloons in the sky now?
Balloons were launched at 6:15am and the longest flights were about 45 minutes. So there are no balloons in the air now. They should start to inflate again tonight at about 6pm.
How much does the balloon ride cost and what are the age restrictions?
Tethered balloon rises are $20 for adults and $15 for children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The basket is about 36-48 inches tall so if they are shorter, they will not be able to see.
Does anyone know of any good balloon launch viewing places from outside of the carnival?
Unfortunately that is hard to determine because based on wind direction and speed, we cannot say. We try to fly southwest but there is no real way to determine a great spot. The top of the ski hill in 4 Lakes might be a good place. But Then again, if the wind is in the wrong direction or the wind speed is to strong, they will not launch

When will you know about launching the balloons for tonight?
Because of ever-changing weather conditions, we cannot make that call until about 5:30-6pm.
Are the balloons going to launch at 6 tonight?
We still have to wait until later in the day to find out if they will be able to. Weather is a tricky thing and we can’t make a judgement call this early in the day.
Sorry if this is a repeat but where did the balloons from this morning land at? I know one was Clow, but where where the others? Thanks and it was a great show, just lost them for their landings.
Most landed in parks, fields or culdisacs. I was up in one doing some photography so I am not to sure of the exact locations.
