The Van Kampen Stage (Main Stage)

Wednesday, July 3rd

6:00 pm – Gina Glockson Band
ginaglockson Gina Glocksen is best known as the 9th place finalist of the 6th season of the mega-hit television show American Idol. Although Gina was often referred to as the ‘rocker chick’, her musical influences and abilities range far beyond the realm of rock. Gina’s original music infuses the passion and attitude of a rock n roll rebel with precision and soul of the modern ‘diva’. Since her time on Idol, Gina has toured North America on the ‘American Idols Live Tour’ and has continued touring with an amazing show, “Ballroom With a Twist”. It’s a show that is infused with dancers from the hit reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” and professionals from “Dancing With the Stars”. Gina and season 7 finalist David Hernandez are the vocalists. http://rocktheglock.com/
8:00 pm – Pat Travers
Since the critically acclaimed 1976 debut album featuring his own brand of high quality seventies guitar rock and roll, Pat Travers has gone on to deliver melodic eighties rock, a blues period throughout most of the nineties, noted performances with various power trio’s during the first few years of the new Millennium, and a full blooded return to the trademark Pat Travers Band sound as he entered his fifth performing and recording decade. http://www.pattravers.com/;

INFINITY continues to break attendance records wherever they perform. They light up the stage with their unique vocals and instrumentals of hits from Boston, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, Styx, Queen, REO Speedwagon and of course their signature group…Journey. INFINITY covers everything from Classic to Current. INFINITY is known for their outgoing personalities and if you have ever seen them, you know exactly what to expect…if not, expect the unexpected…so be prepared, you might be singing along with them (and we guarantee you will), or a microphone may just appear before you. INFINITY enjoys the thousands of fans, young and young at heart, who sing along and become the chorus. They are genuine entertainers, and everyone in the audience no matter what age will become part of this show. http://www.infinity2k.com/

6:00 pm – Keith Semple
Keith was born in Northern, Ireland, in the small town of Larne. He started professionally playing music at the early age of 16, where he performed all throughout Europe. He played with a few different bands during that period of time, but always maintained a certain vision for his own music, which he loved to write and perform. Since 16 years old, Keith has played all over the world in small venues through large sold out shows of more than 80,000 seats. http://www.keithsemple.net/
8:00 pm – Ambrosia
In 1970, four musicians from the South Bay of Los Angeles came together to create a new and invigorating style of music, exploring the possibilities of progressive classical and world influences, merged with the soul of blues and R & B. The band earned 5 Grammy nominations, 5 Top 40 singles, heavy FM air play and the admiration and respect of the entire music community and their Sold Out concerts garnered them a heavy and loyal fan base world wide. Today the band is more alive than ever. With three of the original 4 members, the group is recording a new CD and continues to tour throughout the world, delighting audiences with their distinctive style everywhere they perform. “Biggest Part Of Me”, “You’re The Only Woman”, “Hold On To Yesterday”, How Much I Feel”, “Heart To Heart” and more… http://www.ambrosiaweb.com/

DYA In just over a year, DYA has gone from concept to taking second place in the prestigious “Best of the Midwest” contest and perform both electric and acoustic sets across the Western Suburbs including Ballydoyle’s Irish Pub, Q Sports Bar, River Rockhouse and Live 59.Influences include Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, The Who, and Elliott Smith. These talented lads can entertain without screaming and their songs all reflect life, love and politics. They’ve just cut their first EP, “A Thousand Endings” comprised of all original music.
6:00 pm – POCO
Poco was one of the first groups to pioneer Country-Rock music. The harmonies and instruments of Country mixed with Rock’n'Roll rhythms, paved the way for supergroups like the Eagles and while hits for Poco were few, their influence runs deep in both Country and Pop music. Richie Furay and Jim Messina formed Poco after Buffalo Springfield broke up in 1968 when Stephen Stills and Neil Young left the group. http://www.poconut.org/
8:00 pm – Pure Prairie League
When Pure Prairie League formed in the late 1960s, no one had put a label on the music they played. Although the band drew heavily from 1960s’ rock, the group added a heavy dose of country and high-flying harmony that gave it a unique sound soon to be known as country-rock. Pure Prairie League, along with groups like the Eagles, reached mainstream radio listeners by the mid-1970s, as singles like “Amie” climbed the Billboard charts. Pure Prairie League continued to record, tour, and place singles on the charts. http://www.pureprairieleague.com/

The Riverview Soundstage

5:30 pm – This End Up
This End Up plays a great mix of popular rock music with a dash of country, putting its own mark
on songs made famous by artists ranging from Aretha Franklin, to Pat Benetar, to Kelly  Clarkson; from the Doobie Brothers to John Mellencamp to Blues Traveler. The combination of drums, guitars, keyboards, sax, and great vocal harmonies always gets the crowd moving.  Come and hear This End Up – - you’ll end up having a fantastic time. http://www.teuband.com/
7:00 pm – VVX
The band VVX has one mission: recreating the greatest rock and metal playlists… from the greatest rock and metal radio station… during the greatest rock and metal years. This generation of music (from ’81 to ’91) made a lot of hairy people wear questionable clothing, play ridiculously loud instruments better than ever before, and continually write some crazy-good songs (that most kids now only play on fake, plastic instruments)! http://www.vvxlive.com/
9:00 pm – Trippin Billies
Born in the pubs on the north side of Chicago, reminiscent of Luther’s College, Trippin Billies took to the “stages” of these small rooms in the early nineties as an acoustic duo. It wasn’t long before lines grew to long for the small bars and calls started coming in from around the Midwest. As a result the band was forced to rise to the occasion, and they’ve done just that. Having the luxury of living in a city called home to many great musicians, Trippin Billies is comprised of some of Chicago’s best. This talent coupled with their mutual love of high energy performance has moved them above the bar band circuit and into concert settings. Whether it’s a club in Iowa City, a Hockey arena in North Dakota or a summer festival in Rochester, New York or Lincoln, Nebraska, the show is always the same, just that, a show. http://trippinbillies.com/

1:00 pm - One More Time
…

3:30 pm – Cool Rockin Daddies
Based in the Chicago area, Dirty Dan’s Cool Rockin’ Daddies is a tight little five-piece “Roadhouse-style” band, made up of (you guessed it) five dads, all veterans of the music business. A couple dads were signed to major-label record deals, and some were not, but all have played in highly popular bands, on principle stages, and have opened for national acts throughout their careers. Built on the concept of being a lean, mean, rockin’ machine, this band pays homage to “Rock Greats” from the 50′s, to the 90′s, along with playing some smokin’ originals too! http://www.coolrockindaddies.com/
6:00 pm – 97 Nine
Timeless Classic Rock! All live, no backing tracks! Featuring some of the best musicians around, including guitarist extraordinaire Dave Uhrich, Mark O’Dette, Tom Heslin and Michael Bragg. 97Nine is the premiere classic cover rock band playing throughout the midwest. Their live show is unmatched in energy, performance and sound. https://www.facebook.com/97Nine
8:30 pm – Kashmir
Kashmir was formed in late 2001, after guitarist Frank Livingston decided to form a show based on substance and feel rather than just “fitting the suit”. “It is important to look the part, but way too often tribute bands seem to forget that without the sound, the look does nothing”. KASHMIR is a very entertaining show bringing only the best of LED ZEPPELIN to their fans. KASHMIR seeks to re-create the experience of a 70′s Zeppelin show utilizing authentic vintage stage gear, costumes, and special effects, with great attention to detail in a non pretentious way. http://www.kashmirchicago.com/

1:30 pm – Chicago Tribute Anthology
vdavis Born in Anniston, AL in 1973 Brian “Voo” Davis’ love for music began at an early age. While Davis grew up with AM radio, his past was stocked old 45s of Motown, Sun, and British sensations of the 50′s and 60′s. While Davis was still young, his family moved north and Chicago blues started mixing with Alabama clay. While Davis may have started listening at an early age, he didn’t start playing guitar until age 19. By 21 Davis was booking his own gigs on the Blues circuit while cutting heads as a lead guitarist. Davis learned about the victories and difficulties of the road while working with W.C. Handy award winner Eddie King, KoKo Taylor’s former Band Leader. King’s amazing stage presence and head-cutting, finger-picking approach to the guitar was a great compliment to Davis’ aggressive single note style. While touring the US with King, Davis sharpened his skills playing at some of the nation’s best Blues Clubs and Festivals, including Chicago’s Blues Fest. When it seemed Davis’ young career was just taking off, he walked away to pursue other personal endeavors. What brought Voo back to music? Personal tragedy struck in 2009 when Davis’ wife passed away. This motivated the young slide player to pick it up again while filling a void left by his wife’s early passing. It wasn’t long before many of the 12 songs to “A Place for Secrets” were completed. Songs Davis held on to for 10 years were finally being completed and ready to play. http://voodavis.com/

badmedicine Bad Medicine is a nationally touring cover band that began, and is currently based, in Chicagoland. A well known Bon Jovi Tribute Band, that also plays other 80′s music. The band has adapted to the growing fan base and concert-goer’s demand to also hear the best of all the rest from the 80′s and Hairbands. The band plays mostly Bon Jovi covers, and all their HITS, and the band also fills their set with 80′s bands like Whitesnake, Poison, Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, Tesla, Brian Adams, and more.
