Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with the hot air balloons? How about helping the balloonists by being part of their crew? Now is your chance. We are looking for people who would like to help unpack, inflate and launch the balloons all throughout the festival weekend. This is exciting opportunity that many have asked us about.

Volunteer crews will be trained by their assigned balloon pilots for the weekend. All volunteer crew must attend the mandatory pilots meeting at the Lisle Hilton hotel on Friday afternoon at 4PM. Crew assignments will be made at that time.

5 Day Carnival Mega Passes
$45.00 each in advance, $50.00 each at gate. MegaPass good for rides all 5 days of carnival June 29th thru July 3rd. Height restrictions on rides may apply. No refunds, no rain checks. Vouchers can be redeemed for wristbands at the main ticket booth on carnival site any time carnival is open. Please furnish first and last name for each voucher purchased, and address to where they should be sent. Not responsible for lost or stolen wristbands once they are received by the riders at the carnival. No refunds, no rain checks. Thank you. Also, Wednesday the 29th is wristband day where you can ride all day for $20.00. Wristbands can be purchased at the carnival.

Mega Passes can be purchased from both Lisle Savings Bank locations, Arbor Printing & Graphics and Lisle Park District. They can be purchased at the above locations until June 28, at 3:00pm. Online Mega Passes can be picked up at Arbor if the customer chooses.

Although the parade has been a long running tradition, we will be unable to host one this year. Due to the bridge being rebuilt on Short St., vehicles, floats and individuals walking in the parade would not be able to exit the parade grounds.

A separate committee will be hosting a community parade down Main Street at 11:00 am on July 4^th. The Parade route will stage at Lisle Village Hall, then proceed down Center street going North, turn West down School Street, then go South down Main Street and end at Jonquil. Lisle Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival

“Ice Skaters Receive Free Hot Chocolate!”

What could be better then an afternoon of ice skating on the newly enlarged Village of Lisle ice rink?  Free hot chocolate, that’s what!  Every Saturday through February from 12noon to 1:00pm, the Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival committee will be sponsoring free hot chocolate for skaters redeemable at The Nook and Traviata.  The ice rink is located at the corners of Main Street and Burlington Avenue in downtown Lisle.  So bring out the family, lace up those skates and then enjoy a free hot chocolate brought to you by the Lisle Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival committee.

The Lisle Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.  In 2010, the Festival donated nearly $50,000 to local charitable organizations.  We’re more then just a festival!

Lisle Eyes to the Skies

“A Festival Benefiting Charities”

Recently, The Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival committee presented nearly $50,000 to the festival’s affiliate members.  Proudly accepting checks for their organizations was Tom Althoff, Lisle Chamber of Commerce; Lisa Leone, Partners for Parks; Debbie Starr, Lions International; Dennis Webb, Lisle Education Foundation; Ed Czupryna, Kiwanis International and Mike Shuta, Rotary International.  The Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival is a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization.  These affiliate members gathered hundreds of volunteers and spent countless hours and tireless effort resulting in the 2010 Eyes to the Skies being a great success.   It is the hope of the Eyes to the Skies Festival committee that these financial contributions will assist the Lisle service organizations in continuing to provide their valuable services within the community.  Dates for the 2011 Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival are July 1 – July 3.
