Volunteer Sign-up
We will do our best to fulfill your request; however, please understand we may need to request your help in alternate areas and times. We will confirm your area and hours with you before finale schedules are posted. To ensure privacy, we do not want to post your name and volunteer hours on this page so we will contact you via email phone. Please provide your contact information with your request. VOLUNTEER TRAILER will be open Thursday June 30 from 7-8:30pm for early pick-up of t-shirts and admission tickets.
ABC’s Of Volunteering
- All organizations recruit volunteers. Volunteers will be used to staff the parking lots, beer/wine tents, pop/water tents, admission booths, entry/exit gates, ice station, VIP area, Children’s area, and for garbage/cleanup of the festival grounds each morning.
- Before a volunteer starts their shift, they will need to check in at the VOLUNTEER TRAILER, located just east of the Lisle High School. Upon check in they will be given their final volunteer assignment, t-shirt, admission ticket and food / drink coupons.
The organization they wish to give their service hours to will be verified at this time. Volunteers can give their hours to any of the participating 501c3 organizations participating on the Eyes to the Skies Festival committee, or chose to donate their hours to the festival as a whole.
- Compensation, or proceeds will be distributed to the participating 501c3 organizations,(Partners for Parks, Kiwanis, Rotary, Lisle Education Foundation, Chamber of Commerce 501c3, Lions),provided that the festival ACTUALLY realizes a profit over the designated reserve amount. In this case profit will be divided by the total amount of volunteer hours to determine a dollar amount per volunteer hour worked. Organizations will receive compensation for total volunteer hours worked x hourly dollar amount.
DISCLAIMERS:
Every effort will be made to place volunteers at their choice of assignment, however due to peaks and flow of festival operations; it may become necessary to re-locate volunteer workers.
There are no secure facilities to store volunteer’s belongings, so it is advised that personal items be left at home or in your vehicle.
